The project aims to generate knowledge in Welding Processes and Procedures and in Numerical Modeling and Simulation dedicated to the repairs of in-service pipelines, and to provide methods and processes for the mechanical analysis of the repairs, their topological optimization, and eventual homologation and execution, as well as Welding and Manufacturing technologies and procedures. This scope will be conducted with a view to increasing productivity, reducing costs, and increasing operational and occupational safety in pipeline and piping repairs.
This project aims at the careful and in-depth study, as well as the improvement of stud welding techniques, along with the development of methodologies for fastening these components and analyzing results. It aims, therefore, at the development of technological innovation for application and proper welding procedures.
The main objective of the project is the expansion of know-how and the viable, reliable implementation of technologies for welding automation in the construction of onshore pipelines. The aim is an action directed towards the field applicability of the technologies, a factor that converges with the modus operandi of LABSOLDA-UFSC, which has in Orbital Welding one of its most fruitful R&D lines (academic and technological productions).
The main objective of this project is the study and development of innovative technologies for TIG, MIG/MAG, and Plasma electric arc welding processes, as well as hybrid versions (also involving the LASER process). The general objective also includes the development of automation systems and sensors, as well as inspection techniques, to support technological services...
The general objective of the project is to develop an automated system for the remote maintenance and inspection of large-scale structures, such as those found in Flares of Platform Ships and Refineries, as well as tanks on these platform ships. The inspection will initially be visual, and the recovery of structures will be carried out by reconstituting the walls of the structural elements through welding technology, to be implemented into the automated system during the Project, and by coating these structures using a painting process.
